Next East Lancs Chamber International Trade Club Breakfast - 13 July 2017

Protecting your staff when they’re on business overseas will be one of the key topics addressed by key speaker Nathan Monshin at the next International Trade Club event taking place on Thursday 13 July 2017.

The prestigious breakfast meeting, aimed at manufacturers, importers and exports from Lancashire, will welcome Nathan, Director for International Risks at SI Risk, and other guest speakers.

Nathan, whose company specialises in reducing risks associated with travel and security,  will highlight the necessary health and safety requirements that organisations must demonstrate towards their staff when travelling overseas, as well as the risk and duty of care obligations.

Other guest speakers at the event include Helen Cowley, Tax Partner at Cassons, and Mike Nunnerley, International Sales Manager at SolX Energy Limited.

Helen will discuss the current VAT rules governing the supply of goods to other EU member states, evaluate the likely impact of Brexit and the anticipated differences between dispatches and exports.

Mike Nunnerley, International Sales Manager of Burnley-based SolX Energy Limited, will explain how using LinkedIn helped his company sell their solar thermal refrigeration technology into one of Australia’s largest supermarkets.

Les Nutter, Managing Partner of Cassons, who sponsor the International Trade Club, said: “The International Trade Club breakfast meeting is a great environment for any business involved in International Trade.  There are plenty of opportunities for networking and all of the members are happy to share experiences and help each other.  In this respect it truly is a ‘Club’. The speakers always give thought provoking presentations and this July’s event will be ideal for all of our region’s manufacturers considering exporting as well as our more experienced exporters.”

The International Trade Club event takes place at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Accrington on Thursday July 13. It is free for members, £48+VAT for non-members, and £174+VAT for service companies.

The event, which runs 8-10.30am includes breakfast and an opportunity to network with other like-minded businesses. For more information contact Marie White on 01254 356448 or email
