Cassons praise for Red Rose Awards International Achievement winner Group 55

Cassons Managing Director Les Nutter was the first to praise Group 55 — winners of the International Achievement category, which was sponsored by Cassons, at the Red Rose Awards 2018.

Group 55, a world leading private-label manufacturer of pet and personal care products with customers in over 50 countries worldwide, has  landed the much sought-after International Achievement award at the event in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.

Cassons, now part of the Baldwins Group, have sponsored the International category since 2015.  Cassons Managing Director Les Nutter says: “The International Achievement award is a chance to shout about some of these success stories from the heart of Lancashire, which in turn will hopefully inspire others to trade overseas.

“This year, in a hotly-contested category, Group 55 produced an outstanding entry and, with exports now representing 50% of the company’s turnover and plans for even greater expansion, they were very worthy winners for the second successive year.

“Congratulations to everyone who entered and to those who made the shortlist.”

Other finalists were: Cpak, H and T Presspart, Levity Crop Sciences, Northern Industrial and Vape Dinner Lady.

The Red Rose Awards were attended by more than 1100 business people representing 100s of different businesses from across Lancashire.

Les added: “We’re extremely proud of our involvement with the Red Rose Awards and in particular, we are keen to support the International Achievement Award category. It’s a chance to celebrate the achievements of Lancashire businesses across the globe.

“We are active members of BKR International, a global association of accounting and business advisory firms, and therefore we fully understand some of the challenges, pitfalls and opportunities that come with trading overseas, and we have enjoyed seeing entries from some really inspiring businesses.”

The Red Rose Awards provide a real platform to promote success with the aim of encouraging trade within the county. The awards are about the businesses that keep the county alive – the heroes of the Lancashire economy.
