Les Nutter is named Managing Partner of the Year!

Les Nutter, managing partner of Cassons chartered accountants and business advisers, has been named Managing Partner of the Year by the 2020 Group.

The 2020 Membership Group is an organisation of progressive accountants with 1,200 member firms in the UK and Ireland. Their criteria was to find a managing partner who has made significant developments within his or her firm with particular emphasis on innovation and creativity.

The award was made at the 2020 Group’s national conference in Birmingham and was presented by rugby legend Bill Beaumont OBE.

Les, who lives in Burnley, started as an articled clerk with Cassons (then JB Lever and Co.) in 1976, qualified in 1985, became a partner in 1989, then managing partner of the firm's Manchester office in 1997 and of the firm in 2006.

Ashley Hayman, senior partner at Cassons, said:

“Les has an unbelievable passion for the firm, its clients and its staff. He brings ideas and vision to the firm and pursues them tenaciously.  He motivates by strength of example, and by strength of personality, and there is no question that he deserves to be the 2020 Group’s Managing Partner of the Year.”

In 2007, Les was presented with the North West Society of Chartered Accountants award for the Accountancy Personality of the Year 2007.
