Responsible for the firm's practice development programme, encompassing marketing and human resources. Client relationship partner for a portfolio of clients and champion of the firm's client care policies.
Career
Started as an articled clerk with the firm back in 1976 (then called J B Lever & Co.). Qualified in 1985, became a partner in 1989 and Managing Partner of the Manchester Office in 1997.

Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The 1988/89 season with Arsenal winning 2-0 at Anfield in the last game to win the league Oh, sorry! That sort of season - winter, for skiing
What irritates you the most & why?
People at traffic lights. Green means 'OK I think I'll take my handbrake off, look in my mirror, change gear, think about what I'm going to do this evening and perhaps as a last resort … GO'
What would you cook to show off your culinary skills?
Cheesecake
What's your greatest extravagance?
Joining the golf club and only playing once a year, if I'm lucky
