Responsibilities
Client relationship partner for a portfolio of clients.
Overall responsibility for the Bar department, dealing with barristers' accounting, taxation and financial needs. Also responsible for the firm’s Small Business Unit and Business Support Department.
Career
Trained and qualified with a suburban practice in Sale - South Manchester. A year after qualifying in 1987 moved to Cassons (then called JB Lever & Co). Became an Associate in 1998 and was appointed as a partner in 2002.

Getting involved with clients in establishing a new venture.

The ever increasing regulatory paperwork demanded of small business.
How long have you been in your current business?
19 years but seems like yesterday.
Which famous person would be your dream work colleague & why?
Norman Foster - the mix of creativity and practicality of designing buildings or Meg Ryan - no explanation required.
What did you want to do when you grew up?
A crew member on the Calypso with the renowned oceanographer Jacques Cousteau.
If you were to choose an alternative career, what would it be?
Architect.
If you became stranded on a desert island, which famous person, book and photograph would you want with you, and why?
Stephen Fry - he is just smart and funny; a collection of poems - capable of constantly re-reading; family photos - they are the people nearest and dearest to me.
What are you most proud of?
My wife achieving partnership in her business.
Your greatest achievement?
My two daughters of whom I am immensely proud and who have never given me a moment's concern
