Responsibility for audit, accounts and tax in the main for managed businesses from sole traders to groups of companies. Also responsible for the firm’s HR function.
Career
Started as articled clerk with Touche Ross & Co in Manchester in 1979. Became an Associate at what is now known as Cassons (after a series of mergers) in 1998. Promoted to Partner in September 2002.

If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you'd spend your winnings on?
A round of golf at 4 of the best courses in the world, that is St Andrew’s, Augusta National, TPC Sawgrass and Wentworth. Oh, and I’d have Tiger Woods as my caddie!
What did you want to do when you grew up?
Accountant (how boring!).
If you were to choose an alternative career, what would it be?
TV / media / sports presenter.
If you became stranded on a desert island, which famous person, book and photograph would you want with you, and why?
Tiger Woods – there’d be plenty of time to be coached by the greatest!; Wisden’s Cricket Almanack; and a photograph of my two children.
What are you most proud of?
My two wonderful children.

Hole in one.

Anything involving Peter Kay makes me laugh.
