Responsibilities
Responsible for specialist audits within the office such as pension schemes, charities and unlisted PLCs and advising and assisting professional partnerships, particularly solicitors' practices. Also responsible for the firm’s general compliance matters such as money laundering.
Career
Qualified as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross (now Deloitte) in 1984. Shortly after, the Burnley office merged with J B Lever & Co which subsequently changed its name to Cassons. Became an Associate in 1998 and a partner in 2002.
Professional memberships
Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants.

Art and music - I'm a real culture vulture ... Not!

Excellent - but I think my memory may be playing tricks on me.
Your greatest achievement?
Player of the year for my football team.
What's your lifetime ambition?
To climb Everest or more realistically, to climb every Lakeland mountain.
