introducing Cassons No.5

We have developed a tradition of sending clients and friends a Christmas message with a difference.  We started with advent calendars, progressed to cards and then videos. Cassons No. 5 is in fact our 5th Christmas video!

Our main objective for the video was to put a spotlight onto our people and let everyone see their personalities while having a lot of fun! Our specially written lyrics reflect some of the work we do as a firm of chartered accountants as well as the great talents being showcased.

The filming took place over 3 days in our Lancashire office. Our actress who took the role of the singer joined us for Day One when we shot some of the scenes with the partners and all of the dancing sequences. This all took place in our magically transformed training room. The adjoining board room became makeup and hair for the day! Thanks to Jeanette for her help on hair and makeup throughout the filming.

All of our people were asked to wear black and white clothing on their filming days so that it would be in keeping with the original Mambo No.5 and our actress brought a great supply of black and white outfits for the day!

We had 4 groups of dancers who were all choreographed by Helen Cheung and Sophie from Encore dance school. Everyone was brilliant! Three of the guys in our tax team attempted the lift of Gemma the actress but it was a little challenging!

Day 2 was the main filming day for the partners who provided the horn section - we were very lucky to be able to borrow many instruments from our Business in the Community partner Rhyddings Business & Enterprise School. Choreographing this section was quite amusing even after the warm up session! The only casualty was to Colin’s lip after a collision between his and Steven's saxophones.

For Day 3 we recreated the bar scene from the original Mambo No.5 video, transforming our recreation room! This was the scene of the cocktail bar and magic scenes. You may even spot a photo of Bing Crosby... we have a special reference to him in all of our Christmas greetings.

Huge thanks to www.shootersmedia.com for making the video - we certainly couldn't have done it without them. Thanks to http://www.lizhenson.co.uk for the photography.

Thanks to everyone for watching and letting us have such amazing feedback.
